Description
Game Introduction
Dungeon Tactics is a single-player, turn-based strategy game that brings classic tabletop gameplay to life. Your mission is to explore treacherous dungeons, confront the dragon that has been troubling a village, and earn the villagers' admiration. Each game starts fresh, meaning you do not keep items between runs, but heroes gain experience points and level up, unlocking new features that add complexity. With a focus on tactics, stealth, and a bit of luck, every adventure is unique. The basic game is free, and you can upgrade to Advanced Dungeon Tactics with a one-time fee for the full experience. Brave adventurers, the villagers have high hopes.
How to Play
On your turn, you typically choose one action: move to an adjacent open tile or room exit; perform a melee attack on an adjacent enemy; perform a ranged attack on a non-adjacent enemy; loot a chest under an adjacent tile; or guard by skipping your turn, gaining defense and a chance to counterattack missed melee attempts. You may use special items before your action, and strategic use of these items is key, as they are lost between games. After your action, enemies take their turn. If you are undetected, you can keep acting until spotted. The turn-based system means no need to click repeatedly. For room details, click images and text on screen edges.
Game Features
Game features include turn-based strategy, stealth mechanics, hero leveling, and unlockable features. Each hero gains experience and levels up, unlocking new abilities that add depth to gameplay. The game emphasizes tactical decision-making, requiring players to choose between attacking, looting, or guarding. Stealth allows for multiple actions before detection, adding a layer of planning. The progressive difficulty ensures each run feels fresh and challenging.
Tips for Success
To succeed in Dungeon Tactics, focus on careful planning and resource management. Use stealth to scout ahead and gain multiple actions before enemies detect you. Prioritize looting chests for useful items, but balance this with guarding to avoid taking damage. Experiment with different strategies each run, as the rogue-like nature means no two adventures are alike. Learn from each defeat and adapt your tactics to overcome tougher challenges.
